The Project
We were engaged last year to declutter this family's home, so when they decided to move house, they got in touch to ask if we could help them get set up and organised in their new place.
The priority was to get the kitchen and pantry organised on moving day so family life could continue somewhat undisrupted.
The kitchen is the most important space in your home, and when you've got three hungry boys to feed, it needs to function well.
The new house had such a great pantry space! We used a combination of containers the client already had and mixed in some new ones. Some beautiful pantry labels brought both sets together.
Finding the best locations for your kitchen items is like solving a giant jigsaw puzzle. Where does it make sense to live, and will it fit there?
With a family home, it's also essential that you think about the kids. Can they reach the things they need to? Are off-limits stuff out of their reach?
Using innovative organisation products like carousels, containers and roller storage help the functionality making it easy to see and access everything in the space.
Where you first put things when you unpack your home in a hurry can be where they stay for a long time. In the stress of moving house, it can be difficult to think clearly and look objectively at your spaces. A poorly organised home can leave you with a hangover, frustrating you each day as you go about daily life.
