Seaforth - Pantry Storage and Organisation Project

Opening your cupboards each day and seeing disarray plays on your mind. Great pantry storage and clever organisation is the answer.

Giving your things a home makes life so much easier

The Project

I know from my own experiences that when you are a busy executive and mother, you have choices to make about how you want to spend your precious spare time.

Finding the time and the headspace to properly organise your home is a real challenge. When you've spent your week organising people and processes and solving problems, all you want to do is switch off and spend time with your family.

The thing is, though, the disorganisation lurking in your cupboards plays on your mind and frustrates you when you can't find what you need. When you are faced with it each day, it can leave you feeling flat.

My client in Seaforth was feeling exactly like this. Her day job as a senior executive and caring for her young daughter kept her super busy. She couldn't get to the job of organising her newly built home.

She approached me with some apprehension. Was investing in someone to organise her home, ok?  Should she be doing it herself?

Society has made us believe we should be able to do it all.  When we should be prioritising ourselves, our health, our wellness, and doing the things we need to make our lives work in a way that makes us happy.  Investing in things that make our lives easier to achieve our goals is essential.

Pantry organisation

The main focus of this project was the pantry and kitchen, and wow, what a pantry to work with! It’s a pantry storage dream. There is plenty of shelf space and drawers underneath, perfect for an overflow area (the place to store unopened goods that don't yet need decanting). We decided on bamboo and white as the colour scheme and some gorgeous simple white labels.

Very little, apart from the packaging, was removed, but how spacious does it look in the after shot?  Everything can be seen clearly and therefore used. Best before stickers were used on the base of the containers to keep track of things.  We can end up wasting and not getting the benefit of expensive 'health' ingredients when we can't see them.

Other organisation

Lounge room cupboards and the laundry room were the other areas to tackle.  Finding the right spot for each category of things was vital. Keeping things in one location makes life so much easier because you always know where to find them and where they go back to. Labelling helps this process. Doing this allows you to maintain your organisation system.

If you are a busy executive and just like my client just can't seem to find the time to declutter and get organised, get in touch, we'd love to share the load and give you peace of mind. Beyond pantry storage and room organisation, we can help to create an orderly, peaceful home where everything has it’s own place. AKA, heaven.

Can we share the load?
